Apply for the UN Talent Pipeline 2025 for young professionals

Are you a mid-career professional from a developing country looking to make a meaningful global impact? The United Nations is calling. The UN Talent Pipeline is more than a program—it’s a powerful career gateway designed to help qualified individuals from underrepresented or unrepresented Member States find their place within the UN Secretariat.

This initiative is not just about jobs; it’s about changing the face of global governance. Backed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the Talent Pipeline is part of a broader commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 16.8—enhancing the participation of developing countries in global decision-making institutions. By participating, applicants contribute to building a more inclusive and representative United Nations, one that truly reflects the diversity of the world it serves.

The benefits are transformative. From comprehensive training that demystifies the UN recruitment process to one-on-one mentorship with seasoned UN professionals, the Talent Pipeline offers a rare opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. Participants not only improve their chances of securing UN roles but also gain lifelong skills, networks, and insights that will elevate their careers to new heights.

To be eligible, applicants must be mid-career professionals from countries listed as developing and currently underrepresented or unrepresented within the UN Secretariat. A Master’s degree and five years of relevant experience—or seven years with a Bachelor’s degree—are required. English proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking is also essential. While current UN Secretariat staff are not eligible, those working with UN Funds, Programmes, or Specialized Agencies can apply, provided they meet the criteria.

This is more than a job opportunity. It’s a call to those who are ready to lead, ready to serve, and ready to bring new perspectives to the global stage. If that sounds like you—or someone you know—it’s time to take the step forward.

The UN Talent Pipeline is open. The world is waiting.
