The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) leads global efforts to combat hunger and achieve food security for all, ensuring people have consistent access to high-quality food for healthy lives. Operating in over 130 countries with more than 195 Member States, FAO believes that everyone can contribute to ending hunger.

The Internship Programme aims to attract motivated young individuals, both women and men, who are eager to bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and their recent academic knowledge to FAO's areas of expertise. This program offers participants a valuable learning opportunity, allowing them to apply their academic insights through practical work assignments related to FAO's mission.

Through their internship with FAO, participants will contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and FAO's Strategic Framework, supporting the 2030 Agenda by promoting more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems. These efforts aim for improved production, nutrition, environmental sustainability, and overall well-being, leaving no one behind.

Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a recognized educational institution or recent graduates. Educational qualifications should be from an institution accredited/recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED), as updated by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

- Candidates should have expertise in a field relevant to FAO's mission and work.
- Proficiency in at least one of FAO's official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish) is required. Knowledge of a second FAO language is beneficial.
- Applicants must be nationals of FAO Member States.
- Candidates should be between the ages of 21 and 30.
- Adaptability to an international and multicultural environment, as well as effective communication skills, are essential.
