The Global Youth Climate Network of the World Bank’s Youth-to-Youth Community, in partnership with Connect4Climate, announced the continuation of the Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program and the launch of a new call for applications during a dedicated World Bank Pavilion side event at COP28. This program, honoring the memory of Max Thabiso Edkins, aims to foster youth climate leadership through a six-month online initiative. Participants will connect with peers, learn from World Bank experts and partners, and engage in meaningful climate action locally and globally. The program seeks applicants aged 18 to 35 with proficient English skills and internet access. Emphasizing youth leadership experience, a passion for climate solutions, and the potential impact of proposed contributions, the program aims to empower self-driven individuals willing to make a difference.

If selected as an ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to acquire new skills and approaches, apply them within your community, connect with fellow ambassadors, and actively participate in the available training sessions and educational materials throughout the program. Over the six-month period, each participant is encouraged to attend specific learning sessions and execute three tangible initiatives within their community. Meeting these requirements ensures graduation, receipt of a completion certificate, and inclusion in the growing MTECAP alumni network!
