Applications are now being accepted for the AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Scholarship 2024, offering young leaders worldwide the opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada. AstraZeneca seeks individuals committed to advocacy in key areas, including improving health equity and access, mitigating the impact of climate change on health, and strengthening health systems and resilience.
The Young Health Programme (YHP) by AstraZeneca focuses on disease prevention among young people aged 10 to 24 in vulnerable and under-resourced communities globally, targeting common non-communicable diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory conditions. This holistic program combines community initiatives, research, and advocacy, fostering the development of young leaders as part of AstraZeneca's sustainability commitment to enhance healthcare delivery and equitable access.
The AstraZeneca Young Health Programme (YHP) Impact Fellowship aims to empower young leaders by enhancing their skills, networks, and knowledge to scale their impact and drive positive change. Fellows will receive full delegate access to the One Young World Summit 2024, along with travel arrangements, shared accommodation, catering, per diem allowance, visa fee reimbursement, and airport transfers.
Additionally, fellows will have access to the YHP Impact Fellowship, providing learning and development opportunities such as participation in an online mini-MBA program and membership in the YHP Alumni Group for continued networking and collaboration.

Additional Information
- Applicants must be aged between 18 and 30.*
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) is required.
- Nationals of all countries are welcome to apply.
- Applicants must commit to full in-person participation at the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada, from September 17th to September 22nd, 2024.
- Candidates should be willing to share insights, contribute to creating commitments to action, forge partnerships, and act as ambassadors for AstraZeneca's health equity and Young Health Programme initiatives where appropriate.
- Access to the internet and a device (computer, phone) for participating in live online Fellowship sessions is necessary. These will not be provided to Fellows.
- Selected individuals are expected to fully engage in both the YHP Impact Fellowship and the One Young World Summit. Failure to do so or misrepresentation may result in the jeopardization of Fellowship benefits.
*While most delegates fall within the 18-30 age range, applications from individuals older than 30 may be considered by the selection committee based on demonstrated personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage.
