Do you know a woman with the courage, vision, and resolve to lead? Nominate her for the Amujae Initiative and support her in advancing to the next stage of her journey. They are especially interested in hearing from women in underrepresented areas, such as Central and Northern Africa. Now is the time to amplify their voices.
The Amujae Initiative is not just a program; it’s a movement. Founded by the EJS Center, its mission is simple: to inspire and empower Africa’s most talented women to confidently rise to the highest levels of public leadership, while bringing others along with them. The initiative believes in the transformative power of women to shape nations and ensures they have the tools, support, and sisterhood needed to succeed.
Each year, the initiative selects 15 exceptional African women already making a mark in politics and public service. Through leadership development opportunities, they help fuel these women’s ambition, enhance their skills, and connect them with a multi-generational network. These women become part of a powerful sisterhood, united by the shared goal of leading, serving, and clearing the path for future leaders.
This year, they are seeking women aiming for top positions, whether elected or appointed. To be eligible, candidates should demonstrate:
- Vision: A clear and inspiring vision for change.
- Leadership: Proven experience in senior roles within political, civil, or international institutions.
- Political Savvy: A deep understanding of political systems, elections, and power dynamics.
- Credibility: Established expertise and a reputation for excellence.
- Personal Mastery: A strong desire to control their career and future.
- Resilience: The strength to overcome challenges on the path to leadership.
- Ambition: The readiness to take bold steps forward within the next five years.
