CALL FOR MENTORS: Apply to be a mentor for the Mercedes Benz BeVisioneers fellowship Programme 2025 (with a chance to be fully funded to Germany)
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz beVisioneers Fellowship Mentorship Program is now welcoming applications. Sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and operated by The Do School, this initiative is designed to empower young innovators across the globe to create lasting, positive changes for the environment. Regardless of their background, selected participants will receive access to professional training, mentorship, expert advice, and financial support to help bring their sustainable project ideas to life at the local level.
In its initial phase, beVisioneers intends to build a strong 12-month fellowship, starting with a diverse group of 100 young innovators in 2023. The goal is for at least 80% of them to successfully launch impactful sustainability projects by the end of the year-long program. Over three years, the program aims to scale up to 1,000 new fellows annually, maintaining the same success rate of tangible project launches that contribute measurable benefits to the environment.
To be eligible, applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 28 at the time of submission, meaning they should have been born between January 13, 1996, and October 14, 2008. Participants need to have a good command of the English language, as the entire program, including all activities and communications, will be conducted in English. Candidates must have already identified a specific environmental issue they are committed to addressing through action. Residency in one of the designated countries is required, although citizenship is not necessary. Applicants from countries such as Uganda, United States, Germany, United Kingdom, India, South Africa, and many others are encouraged to apply. It is important that neither the applicant nor their immediate family members are employed by Mercedes-Benz.
beVisioneers also offers financial assistance to participants who meet certain conditions. Those eligible for support either have a personal income below the average income in their home country or live in a country where the national average income falls below the World Bank’s poverty line. Two types of financial aid are available. First, support for basic living expenses will be provided, covering a stipend equivalent to 24 hours of work, adjusted according to the local cost of living, along with transportation expenses for in-person events. Second, assistance for online participation is offered to help cover costs related to internet access, technical equipment, and utilities necessary for virtual involvement. Participants receiving this type of support must agree to upload receipts as proof of purchase for eligible expenses.
