Join CONNECTAS’ fully-funded workshop in Colombia to enhance your investigative journalism skills on climate change in Latin America. This four-day in-person training will equip you with the tools and expertise to produce in-depth content on climate change impacts, guided by experienced editors and journalists.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to receive funding and editorial support for their projects. We'll cover airfare, transportation, accommodation, and meals during your stay.

This initiative is part of the Open Climate Reporting Initiative (OCRI) alliance between the Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJ) and CONNECTAS.

Incentives:

- Develop transnational research projects that expose government and corporate actions or inactions on climate change
- Receive feedback on your proposals and compete for funding and editorial support
- Get editorial guidance, funding, and dissemination support for your projects

Requirements:

- Be a practicing journalist with at least two years of experience
- Reside in a Latin American country
- Submit recent publications, preferably research or in-depth work, through the CONNECTAS Matrix platform
- Propose a climate change research project, with priority given to transnational projects

Periodistas con experiencia profesional de al menos dos años y residencia en Latinoamérica pueden aplicar a esta oportunidad única. CONNECTAS, en colaboración con el Centre for Investigative Journalism, presenta el taller "Periodismo de investigación sobre cambio climático en América Latina", del 4 al 7 de octubre en Bogotá, Colombia. Los participantes seleccionados adquirirán conocimientos y habilidades para desarrollar investigaciones profundas sobre el cambio climático y sus consecuencias. Los proyectos más destacados recibirán financiamiento y asesoramiento editorial para su ejecución y difusión. Se cubrirán los gastos de viaje, alojamiento y participación de los asistentes durante su estancia. Para participar, es necesario presentar un proyecto de investigación sobre cambio climático, con prioridad para aquellos con enfoque transnacional. La convocatoria estará abierta hasta el 15 de septiembre.
