This international fellowship brings together leading climate institutions to support early-career researchers, activists, and professionals through structured training, mentorship, and global exposure opportunities.
About the Fellowship
The programme is jointly implemented by the BRAC Climate Change Programme, BRAC University’s Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), the Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies (CAPS), and Mission Green Bangladesh (MGB).
It is designed to nurture the next generation of climate researchers capable of contributing practical solutions to urgent environmental challenges.
Participants will engage in a four-month learning journey combining academic research, policy engagement, and climate communication.
Key Research Themes
Fellows will explore pressing climate issues such as:
- Climate-induced displacement and migration
- Urban heat stress and nature-based adaptation
- Climate finance and community resilience
- Gender-responsive climate leadership
- Renewable energy access and sustainable development solutions
Roles and Responsibilities
During the fellowship, participants are expected to:
- Conduct applied climate research addressing real-world problems
- Engage communities and policymakers through advocacy initiatives
- Produce communication materials promoting climate awareness
- Contribute to preparations for the International Climate Camp 2026
Programme Details
- Duration: 4 months
- Commitment: Approximately 3 days per week
- Format: Hybrid participation (online or in-person engagement)
