The McCain Global Leaders Program champions leaders worldwide who embody Senator John McCain’s commitment to serving causes greater than themselves. This 12-month fellowship supports 25 diverse leaders annually, focusing on advancing democracy, human rights, and freedom. Participants engage in training, gain access to global networks, and address challenges to democracy while following in Senator McCain’s legacy. The 2024 cohort will emphasize defending democracy amidst threats like authoritarianism, disinformation, and polarization. Through a thematic focus, regional/global programming, and in-person events, leaders will cultivate their skills, connect with experts, and craft their leadership journey to champion democracy in their regions.
The first in-person event will take place in Washington, United States of America.
