Calling the next generation of climate leaders!

Applications are now open for the 2024 Future Leaders Climate Summit, hosted by the Future Leaders Climate Initiative at the Aspen Institute. 

The Future Leaders Climate Summit aims to gather the most diverse group of young leaders to discuss climate policy, innovation, communications, advocacy, career development, and leadership with climate experts.

Selected attendees will receive an all-expense paid trip to Miami Beach, Florida for the Summit in March 2024, with the option of staying to attend Aspen Ideas: Climate. Applicants in the age range of 22-30 who have completed an undergraduate degree or have three years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Following the Summit, Future Leaders will receive a full year of training, amplification, and support.

The Future Leaders Climate Summit aims to gather the most diverse group of young leaders to discuss climate policy, innovation, communications, advocacy, career development, and leadership with climate experts in Miami Beach, Florida. The Future Leaders will work with these experts and each other to learn and develop ideas for problems facing their communities today. 

During the Summit, Future Leaders will develop local action plans and pledge to go back to their communities and engage with local elected officials, educate their community, and provoke action. They will also have ample opportunities for networking with others in the climate space.

From mitigating climate change, to adapting to extreme weather impacts, to preparing for a rapidly changing world that likely will include more political unrest, forced migration, and security issues, our goal is to build momentum for greater climate action in every corner of the earth.

In addition to the summit, Future Leaders will also be invited to attend Aspen Ideas: Climate 2024. 

About Aspen Ideas:Climate 2024 

In collaboration with the City of Miami Beach and a diverse group of partner institutions in and beyond South Florida, the Aspen Institute is enlisting global and local policymakers, scientific experts, corporate leaders, inventors and innovators, artists, young leaders, influencers, and engaged members of the public to participate in Aspen Ideas: Climate. This multi-day event will take place March 2024, and will feature main stages both in and outdoors, breakout and roundtable sessions, tours of local and historic resilience points of interest, as well as fashion, food, art, and a tech expo. 

Aspen Ideas: Climate is designed to offer the public a chance to interact, learn, and collaborate with thinkers and doers whose actions are critical to addressing our collective future around the realities of a changing climate.
