African students from sub-Saharan Africa can enrol at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology's MSc Food Science and Technology program with complete funding thanks to the DAAD Masters Scholarship.
Applications are now being accepted for the DAAD DeKUT Masters Scholarship, which will be awarded to students pursuing a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Technology at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT), Kenya, with admission scheduled for September 2025.
One of the fully supported Development-Related Postgraduate (EPOS) programs offered to students in sub-Saharan Africa by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the scholarship.

- Must hold a BSc degree in Food Science and Technology with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division); or a BSc degree in a related field (such as Food Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Nutrition and Dietetics, Agri-processing, or Crop/Animal Production) with equivalent qualifications recognized by DeKUT.
- Must demonstrate clear motivation and strong commitment.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Should have completed their most recent university degree within the past six years at the time of application.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are: (a) staff members of a public university, (b) being considered for teaching or research positions, (c) from the public sector, or (d) alumni of the DAFI programme.
- Female applicants, recognized refugees, and candidates from underprivileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to apply.
