Through its fellowship programme, the African American Policy Forum (AAPF) is providing a special chance for committed people like you to have a significant influence. The goal of this fiercely competitive programme is to develop fellows' skills in community organising, policy research, nonprofit operations, and legislation. As a result, AAPF's purpose is enriched with a wealth of talent and experience from fellows from all over the world.
The ten-week programme, running from June 10 to August 16, 2024, calls for full-time, remote labour that comes with a stipend. Computer and internet access are other prerequisites.
AAPF, founded in 1996, is a think tank fighting structural inequality by bridging activism, education, and policymaking. Focusing on racial justice, it improves human rights nationally and internationally. The 2023 Summer Fellowship Programme provided practical experience in lobbying and research, enhancing AAPF's programs.
Brainstorming meetings, media preparation, research and programme planning, event support, and communication preparation are all part of the job description. The ideal applicant will have a solid academic background, be knowledgeable with Critical Race Theory, be aware of the goals of AAPF, and be adept with social media and software.
The applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, and the last day to submit them is Sunday, March 31 at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET.
