FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the Asia Peace Innovators Forum Cohort 3 in Austria
In order to ensure Asia's sustained development and prosperity as a region of global significance, peace is of paramount importance. Despite the rich experience in mediating peace and reconciliation, there has been limited exchange of knowledge and practices among regional, local, and community-driven initiatives.
The Asia Peace Innovators Forum was established in 2020 with the objective of fostering long-term peace, stability, and regional cooperation in Asia. It aims to create a network of mid-career professionals from diverse sectors and countries who can share their knowledge, community-driven approaches, and best practices.
Salzburg Global Seminar is currently seeking applicants for the new cohort of Fellows to participate in the Asia Peace Innovators Forum in 2023. The selection process will consider the work of applicants in six geographic categories, including priority Asian countries (Myanmar, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand), other South- and East-Asian countries, and relevant countries from around the world.
Successful applicants will be required to dedicate 2-3 hours per month for online meetings in the initial stages of the program. This will be followed by a four-day in-person meeting scheduled for May 1-5, 2024, where full participation is expected. The in-person meeting will build upon the work conducted online.
After the in-person meeting, participants will be encouraged to collaborate on projects of mutual interest. The time commitment for these projects will be determined by the participants themselves.
Participants are expected to maintain their regular employment during the program, as observed in previous cohorts where employment patterns remained unchanged.
