- Candidates for the Echoing Green Fellowship must be fluent in English and 18 years of age or older. They must be a key figure from the organization's founding team or an original founder with the ability to make decisions. The main decision-maker and final say-so on the organization's expansion and strategic plan must belong to the applicants. Applicants must retain the work specified in their Fellowship application as their top professional priority and work full time, 40 hours per week, on it during the 18-month Fellowship.

- To be eligible for an Echoing Green Fellowship, your proposed organization must have a parent organization, operate independently, and be in the early stage of development. Eligibility depends on well-defined program models, strategic plans, infrastructure, staffing, funding sources, and a regular board of directors. Organizations cannot lobby or promote specific religious faiths.

Applying for the Echoing Green Fellowship should only be done online; do not send applications by mail, fax, or email. Not reviewed; superfluous materials will be disposed of. Applications must be submitted by the deadline, and changes cannot be made afterward. Applicants will be automatically excluded from consideration if they submit several applications for the same project or a single application for several projects.
