The European Union's Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme has allocated funds to aid the education of graduate students in universities across Central and East Africa.

This initiative involves collaboration between five African Partner Institutions and one EU Technical Partner to train professionals in climate-smart agrifood systems.

Through the European Union CSAS Scholarship, students and staff will gain a thorough understanding of climate-smart agrifood systems, covering disciplines like agriculture, environmental science, climate science, and socio-economic aspects of food systems.

Program Benefits

The scholarship encompasses a monthly stipend of 1230 € for PhD candidates, 890 € for MSc candidates, 1230 € for trainees, and 2370 € for staff. This will address travel, insurance, subsistence, and accommodation expenses. Insurance coverage, including accident, travel, and health insurance, will be provided throughout the scholarship period within the specified grant limits.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must be an African resident, residing in Africa at the time of your application. Candidates can only apply to study at institutions located outside of their home country.
