Applications are open for the GIST Scholarship in South Korea 2024 . The GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology Scholarship 2024 is open to qualified and outstanding students, researchers, and technical professionals who wish to pursue their MS, PhD, or MS with a PhD at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea.

The GIST fellowship offers overseas students studying in Korea a great opportunity to build a solid research foundation for the advancement of science and technology. Additionally, the greatest scholarships in South Korea's leading colleges give students the chance to collaborate and advance cooperative international and domestic research program in both the industrial and academic sectors.

GIST scholars gain world-class knowledge and skills in science and technology through research-oriented projects and courses. GIST's fully-funded scholarship is a project with the South Korean Ministry of Science and Technology, providing financial support to promote scientific technologists and innovations. GIST offers various fields of study.

The 2023 GIST Scholarships require official transcripts, degrees, two letters of recommendation from recommenders, an official English language exam report (TOEFL, PBT, IELTS, TOEIC, or NEW TEPS 327), a certificate of professional English language competency from your native university, and a copy of your passport.

Program Benefits
Benefits of the GIST Scholarship in South Korea: The tuition charge will be waived for all overseas students, who will receive 100% support from the scholarship.

- MS students will receive a 140,000 Won stipend each month.

- A 295,000 Won stipend will be offered to PhD students each month.

- A meal allowance of 100,000 Won will be offered to MS and PhD students alike. (Note: Students have to finish at least 9 credits in the preceding semester in order to obtain student and meal allowance).

- Both MS and PhD students will get an international student allowance of 120,000 Won, but they must maintain a 3.0 GPA or above from a possible 4.5 in the prior semester.

- All MS students who take part in research projects will receive research assistantships worth 5,461,249 won annually, while PhD students will receive research assistantships worth 12,513,688 won annually.

- The cost of a one-way flight to Korea will be covered.

- The government will cover 60% of national health insurance. Additionally covered by health insurance are yearly physicals.

Eligibility Criteria
For consideration for the GIST Scholarship 2024 in South Korea, candidates must be international students, hold a final degree that is equal to a Korean bachelor's degree, and have a strong command of English.

Candidates must thoroughly complete the GIST online application form, submit a matriculation fee (which may be reduced upon department/college approval), and apply online for the GIST Scholarship 2024.
