FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the Harvard Law School Lewis Fellowship (2024 – 2025)

The Reginald F. Lewis Fellowship for Law Teaching will be made available by Harvard Law School; the appointment is scheduled to start on July 1, 2024. The Fellowship is intended to assist a recent law grad who has shown a keen interest in legal study and is preparing for a career in law teaching.

People are chosen for fellowships at Harvard Law School without consideration of their race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, status as a protected veteran, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or any other legally protected condition.

Candidates who would diversify the legal academy are strongly encouraged to apply. The Lewis Fellow must write at least one significant paper for publication. The Lewis Fellow also has the chance to take part in workshops and audit classes at the law school. The Lewis Fellow is expected to adhere to a research and work schedule that has been established with the help of the Lewis Committee.

The Lewis Fellowship will have a term that runs from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. A $55,000 stipend will be given to the Lewis Fellow each year. Throughout the school year, the Lewis Fellow is anticipated to reside at Harvard Law School.

Through a donation from Harvard Law School graduate Reginald F. Lewis and his wife, Loida Nicolas-Lewis, the Reginald F. Lewis Fellowship for Law Teaching is made possible. Mr. Lewis made the largest contribution in the history of the Law School just before he passed away in 1993. The International Law Centre at Harvard Law School was renamed in his honour. Mr. Lewis served as TLC Beatrice Foods International's first CEO. Additionally, he wrote the book Why Should White People?
