The Jasiri Talent Investor Programme, now accepting applications for its 8th cohort, is designed to identify and support aspiring entrepreneurs with the potential to establish impactful, high-growth ventures. This 13-month programme is fully funded and takes a holistic, long-term approach to nurture entrepreneurial talent. Fellows are given the time, tools, and guidance needed to identify Market-Creating Innovations and achieve product-market fit.

Who Can Apply?

The programme is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

•Nationality and Residency: Applicants must be Ethiopian, Kenyan, or Rwandan citizens currently residing in their home country or abroad.

•Commitment to Entrepreneurship: Candidates should be ready to dedicate themselves to entrepreneurship as a full-time career. This includes attending a three-month residential intensive in Rwanda.

•Professional Expertise: Ideal candidates are knowledgeable and skilled in their fields, with the ability to spot gaps and opportunities within their chosen industries.

•Innovative Mindset: Participants should demonstrate a strong commitment to launching new, innovative ventures with the potential for rapid growth.

•Proven Track Record: Individuals who have consistently been achievers, problem solvers, and value creators in their areas of focus are highly encouraged to apply.

•Collaborative Spirit: The programme is tailored for individuals eager to work with equally driven peers, with the aim of co-founding businesses from scratch.

Women entrepreneurs are especially encouraged to apply, as the programme strives to foster inclusivity and gender equity in entrepreneurship.

What Does the Programme Offer?

The Jasiri Talent Investor Programme provides a structured pathway for entrepreneurial success, divided into key phases:

1. Team Formation, Customer Discovery, and Validation:

The programme begins with a residential phase in Kigali, Rwanda, where participants will immerse themselves in a supportive ecosystem designed to foster team formation and entrepreneurial discovery. Fellows will have their flights and/or transportation covered to Kigali and will receive a monthly stipend of:

•RWF 317,145 (Rwandan Francs)

•KES 39,463 (Kenyan Shillings)

•ETB 14,130 (Ethiopian Birr)

2. Venture Creation:

Once the residential phase concludes, participants will return to their respective countries (Kenya or Ethiopia) to focus on building their ventures. This phase provides continued support, including transportation from Kigali to their home country and a significantly increased monthly stipend of:

•RWF 1,268,580

•KES 157,853

•ETB 56,521
