FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the MENA Climate Week 2023 fellowship and funding

In anticipation of the upcoming COP28 in Dubai, UAE, a series of regional Climate Weeks will take place this year to generate momentum leading up to the UN Climate Change Conference COP28 in Dubai and the conclusion of the initial global stocktake, aimed at guiding the fulfillment of the Paris Agreement's main objectives.

The Arab Youth 4 COP initiative is dedicated to bolstering, uplifting, and empowering the voices of Arab youth, aiming to catalyze systemic transformation and channel tangible momentum into the UN Climate Change negotiations. As part of our ongoing commitment to support young Arabs in representing their diverse perspectives at various UN climate events, we will be offering skill-building and financial assistance to enable young Arabs to participate in MENA Climate Week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This endeavor aims to unite their voices and call for action on a collective front.

Eligible Countries:
The 22 members of the Arab League as of 2022 include Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a young individual aged 18 - 35
- Must hold Arab nationality or residency
- Must possess fundamental and relevant experience in climate-related endeavors
- Must be actively engaged in climate change initiatives within the Arab region
- Must dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per month to the fellowship
- Must align with the values and mission of the Arab Youth 4 COP initiative
