FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the Omniverse Research Exchange 2026

Are you a researcher, innovator, or academic working on ideas that can shape the future of Africa and beyond? Applications are now open for the Omniverse Research Exchange 2026, implemented by TechQuest STEM Academy and hosted within the wider Omniverse Africa Summit 3.0 taking place in Lagos from June 2–5, 2026.

The Research Exchange will bring together researchers, innovators, government representatives, funding organisations, industry leaders, and changemakers from across Africa and beyond to showcase groundbreaking research, build global collaborations, exchange ideas, and explore funding and partnership opportunities. The event will be hosted at the National Theatre.

Selected researchers from any of the 55 African countries will receive support to attend the exchange, including return flights and five nights of accommodation, through funding provided by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology & Space, Germany. This is an opportunity to present your work on an international platform while connecting with institutions and stakeholders driving innovation and scientific advancement across the continent.

Selected participants will benefit from a fully funded opportunity to present their research at an international platform in Lagos, gaining visibility among leading researchers, innovators, government representatives, and funding organisations from across Africa and beyond. Successful applicants from any of the 55 African countries will receive full support including return flight tickets and five nights of accommodation, enabling them to fully participate in the event without financial burden. The programme also offers valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and exposure to potential funding partners, helping researchers scale their ideas and build long-term professional connections within the global research and innovation ecosystem.
Eligible Countries
Eligible applicants must be citizens or residents of any of the 55 African Union member states across the continent. This includes countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, and many others within North, West, East, Central, and Southern Africa. The opportunity is designed to be pan-African, ensuring inclusive participation from researchers and innovators representing all regions of Africa.
