Additional Information

Host Institution
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)
Program Type
Fully Funded
Program Benefits
Participants selected for OSCE opportunities benefit from exposure to high-level international policy environments and gain valuable professional experience that can significantly enhance their career prospects. Depending on the specific programme, some opportunities are fully funded and may cover travel costs, accommodation, and provide a monthly stipend, while others may offer partial financial support or be unpaid but still provide invaluable experience.

In addition to financial support, participants gain access to a global professional network and mentorship from experienced professionals in diplomacy and international relations. They also develop practical skills in research, reporting, negotiation, and project implementation, all of which are highly valued in global careers. The experience of working with a respected international organization like the OSCE can open doors to future employment in international institutions, governments, and non-governmental organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for OSCE opportunities varies depending on the specific programme, but generally applicants must be nationals of one of the OSCE participating States, which include countries from Europe, Central Asia, and North America. Candidates are typically required to have a strong academic background in fields such as political science, international relations, law, economics, human rights, or other related disciplines. Many programmes are open to students currently enrolled in universities or recent graduates who are eager to gain practical experience in an international organization.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the values and mission of the OSCE, including the promotion of peace, security, and cooperation among nations. Proficiency in English is usually required, and knowledge of other official OSCE languages such as Russian, French, German, Italian, or Spanish may be considered an added advantage. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work in multicultural environments are also essential qualities for prospective candidates.
Eligible Countries
Applicants must be nationals of one of the participating States of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. The OSCE has 57 participating countries across Europe, Central Asia, and North America.
