Are you a forward-thinking young individual? UNICEF Innocenti wants to collaborate with you! We're seeking motivated young people with a blend of curiosity, creativity, and dedication to social good. While previous experience in futures and foresight is valuable, we also believe in potential, making us open to applications from those with strong skills in facilitation, research, advocacy, and communication.
At UNICEF Innocenti, we're aware that the future doesn't have to wait. Our Youth Foresight Fellowship (UYFF), a year-long initiative, empowers young individuals to shape their futures and UNICEF's strategy.
This unique opportunity invites fellows to make a tangible impact through groundbreaking research and advocacy projects. UYFF is more than just a program – it's a catalyst for change, transforming foresight into action for children and youth globally.
Who's Eligible?
✔️ Youth aged 15-25
✔️ Applicants from Algeria, Argentina, Comoros, Egypt, Ghana, Maldives, Mali, Myanmar, Türkiye, Pakistan, or USA
✔️ Foresight experience is preferred, but skills in research, facilitation, advocacy, and expertise in areas impacting children and youth's futures are also valued
✔️ Able to dedicate 5-10 hours weekly to the fellowship
✔️ Selected fellows will receive a stipend for their work during the fellowship period
⏰ The fellowship will span 10 months, commencing in September 2023 through online platforms.
🌎 Fellows will contribute to two projects: a group project focusing on global trends and an independent project addressing national issues. The specific themes for these projects are flexible, allowing fellows to shape their focus areas.
🎨 This year, creative submissions are accepted as part of the application process, enabling you to showcase your vision of the future. Express your ideas through short stories, videos, poems, songs, visual art, or any other medium of your choice.
💫 Selected fellows will receive a stipend for their work during the fellowship period.
Additional Information
✔️ Must be from the following countries: Algeria, Argentina, Comoros, Egypt, Ghana, Maldives, Mali, Myanmar, Türkiye, Pakistan, or USA
✔️ Experience in foresight is highly preferred; transferable skills like research, facilitation, advocacy, and or expertise in issues that will greatly impact the futures of children and youth
✔️ Must be able to devote between 5-10 hours per week on average to the fellowship
✔️ Selected fellows will receive stipend for work during the fellowship period
