Eligibility Criteria
The traineeship program welcomes university graduates who meet the following criteria:

1. Possess a standard 3-year higher education degree (minimum EQF 6 level), equivalent to a complete Bachelor’s cycle, validated by a certificate or official confirmation from their university.

2. Have no previous work experience exceeding 6 weeks in any EU institution, body, agency, delegation, with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), or Advocates General at the Court of Justice of the European Union (EUCJ).

3. Demonstrate strong language skills:
- For administrative traineeships: Proficiency in two EU official languages, with one being a working language (English, French, or German) at C1 or C2 level, and the second at least B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Non-EU nationals require proficiency in one procedural language at C1 or C2 level.
- For translation traineeships at the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT): Ability to translate into the main/target language (typically the mother tongue) from two other official EU languages ('source languages'):
- Main/target language must be an official EU language.
- First source language for translation must be a working language of the EU (English, French, or German).
- Second source language can be any official EU language with at least B2-level proficiency.
