Are you passionate about advancing climate justice and eager to make a positive impact in Africa? Do you possess the skills and experience to advocate for increased and improved adaptation finance for the continent? If so, we invite you to apply for the inaugural Youth Forum on Adaptation Finance in Africa. This three-day event will bring together young African leaders to discuss and advocate for action on this critical issue.

The Youth Forum on Adaptation Finance in Africa is scheduled to take place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from November 16 to 18, 2023. It is organized by the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) and the Africa Coalition for Sustainable Energy and Access (ACSEA) in partnership with the Africa Adaptation Initiative (AAI), GIZ, and other stakeholders. The forum aims to empower young activists to call for urgent action from the international community to prioritize and significantly increase funding for climate adaptation in Africa, recognizing this as both a moral imperative and a strategic investment in the continent's future resilience and prosperity. The forum's theme is "Doubling Down for Africa: Youth, Finance, and Resilience."

- Learn from experts and practitioners about the current status and challenges of adaptation finance in Africa, as well as best practices and innovative solutions.
- Engage with decision-makers and influencers from governments, multilateral institutions, civil society, the private sector, and media on the topic of increasing and enhancing adaptation finance for Africa.
- Network with peers and mentors from diverse backgrounds and sectors who share a common vision and commitment to climate justice.
- Showcase your initiatives, projects, or campaigns related to adaptation finance and receive feedback and support from others.
- Collaborate in developing a joint declaration and action plan on adaptation finance for Africa and present it to relevant stakeholders and platforms.
