FULLY FUNDED: Apply for this Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program 2024

The JJ/WBGSP offers scholarships for 52 Participating Master’s Programs across 27 universities globally, encompassing fields such as economic policy management, tax policy, and infrastructure management. Successful application for the JJ/WBGSP Scholarship in 2024 is dependent on admission to one of these 52 programs.

The application process consists of two rounds:
- Application Window 1: January 15 to February 29, 2024, with selected applicants' names announced by the end of March 2024.
- Application Window 2: March 25 to May 24, 2024, with selected applicants' names announced towards the end of June 2024.

A special application procedure requires scholars from developing countries to commit to returning home after completing their degree to contribute to their countries’ social and economic development.

Eligibility criteria are detailed in each application's guidelines and strictly followed without exceptions. Generally, applicants must be nationals of World Bank member developing countries, not hold dual citizenship of any developed country, be in good health, possess a bachelor’s degree obtained at least 3 years before the application deadline, and have three years of full-time employment in development-related work.

JJ/WBGSP scholarship recipients receive a range of extensive benefits, comprising economy class air travel, tuition coverage, basic medical insurance, and a monthly allowance for living expenses. The scholarship support spans the duration of the graduate program or up to two years, whichever is shorter.

However, it's crucial to note that certain expenses are not covered by the JJ/WBGSP scholarship, including visa application fees, family support, extra-curricular courses, and other similar costs.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria, outlined in each call’s Application Guidelines, are rigorously followed without any exceptions. Generally, applicants must:
- Belong to World Bank member developing countries.
- Not possess dual citizenship of any developed country.
- Maintain good health.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree acquired at least 3 years before the application deadline.
- Have at least 3 years of full-time employment in development-related work.
