Mountaintop offers two distinct types of fellowships:

1. **Host Led Fellowships:** These placements entail partnering with influential government bodies, NGOs, and social ventures situated in underserved areas of lower-income countries. These collaborations tackle pressing community needs, and the stipends for one-year full-time positions align with comparable salaries within host organizations.

2. **Applicant Led Fellowships:** Designed for independent projects proposed by the applicants, these fellowships empower candidates to lead high-impact initiatives anywhere beyond the United States.

Mountaintop's journey commences with 15-25 Fellows stationed across 8+ countries, constituting its inaugural cohort. These dedicated individuals are chosen based on their commitment to effecting lasting change within their home communities. The selection process prioritizes those with a proven track record in public service and entrepreneurship.

**Nurturing Leadership: Training for Impact**

Before embarking on their placements, Fellows participate in a transformative two-week Leadership Institute at Harvard University’s Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics in Cambridge, USA. This immersive experience delves into Mountaintop’s holistic leadership curriculum, encompassing moral, systems, public, and collective leadership. The Institute is tailored to the needs of Fellows and is enriched by world-class facilitators from various sectors.

**Investing in Change: Catalyst Funds for Community Empowerment**

Mountaintop offers Fellows the opportunity to apply for Catalyst Funds, a competitive grant of up to $2,500. These funds facilitate investments in community empowerment projects that reinforce local leadership.

Mountaintop stands by its alumni, providing lifelong mentorship, job assistance, and access to grants and investments. The organization supports host organizations with training, a practice network, and avenues for funding to deepen and amplify their impact.

Eligibility criteria include a commitment to serving their home country or community, attending the in-person training event at Harvard, and dedicating 40 hours per week to their fellowship project.
