FULLY FUNDED: Apply for this TWAS-SISSA-Lincei Research Cooperation Visits Programme 2023/2024

Applications are currently being accepted for the TWAS-SISSA-Lincei Research Cooperation Visits Programme 2023/2024. This collaborative effort between UNESCO-TWAS, the Lincei Academy, and the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) presents an opportunity for young scientists from Least Developed Countries to conduct research visits to esteemed research laboratories in Trieste, Italy. Research proposals must align with sustainability science and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The primary objectives of these exchange fellowships are to enhance the research capabilities of promising scientists early in their careers and to foster research collaborations. Travel expenses and subsistence costs in Italy will be covered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, administered through UNESCO-TWAS. Applicants should be under 40 years old, hold at least an MSc degree, be citizens of a least developed country, occupy a research position there, and focus on sustainability science. Female scientists are encouraged to apply, and applicants already in the host country are ineligible. Eligible host institutions include SISSA, ICGEB, INFN, OGS, University of Trieste, University of Udine, I0M-CNR, Area Science Park, and Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste.
