Fully Funded by GIZ : Apply for the Young Professionals Program On Climate Finance 

Talented university graduates can begin a career in climate and green finance with the help of the Rwanda Green Fund (RGF) and the "Capacity Development for the Implementation of Rwanda´s NDC" programme, which is being carried out by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Rwanda in collaboration with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Rwanda.

The programme will equip graduates with on-the-job training, international course access, multiple seminars, and much more to become tomorrow's experts in climate and green financing.

OVERVIEW OF PROGRAMME:

We provide young people like you a year-long opportunity to learn more about green and climate finance initiatives through our Young people Programme. September 2024 is the start month. You will work for six months with each of two distinguished Rwandan institutions. This rotation structure makes sure you contribute significantly to environmental initiatives while gaining a variety of experiences and skills. It's an easy way to gain experience and broaden your professional horizons.

You will be assigned a mentor during your stay at the institutions who will help you advance through the programme and coach you in your role.

You'll collaborate with two institutions in addition to participating in training sessions, workshops, and online courses on green and climate finance. Additionally, you'll learn useful skills including utilising IT technologies for everyday chores. After finishing the 12-month programme, you will be evaluated; if the evaluation is favourable, you will receive certification.

Put differently, you should anticipate expanding your knowledge and experience base in addition to honing your hard and soft talents. After completing the programme, you'll be prepared to enter the workforce with useful knowledge and real-world experience.

Eligibility Criteria
a bachelor's degree in a related discipline with exceptional academic credentials, such as finance and banking, agriculture, environmental and climate change studies, sustainability, business administration, economics, and ESG.
Two years of work experience, including volunteer work and internships, with a minimum of 24 months
ardent supporter of climate action and green financing
competent in both Kinyarwanda and English. Speaking French is advantageous.
Apply if you are 30 years of age or younger.
