Applications are being accepted for the Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships for Academic and Professional Excellence through the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF).

The goal of the Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships is to increase long-term ability to deal with climate change-related issues in the United States and India.

Kalam Fulbright The fields covered by the Climate Fellowship include, but are not limited to: critical minerals supply chains; disaster resilience; green mobility, green buildings and construction; oceanography; renewable energy; sustainability; climate and health; climate finance; climate justice and equity; climate resilience, mitigation, and adaptation; climate-smart agriculture; climatology; critical and emerging technology (including applied AI for climate/agriculture, harnessing high-performance computing/quantum computing for climate mitigation, and biotech).

The purpose of these fellowships is to give Indian professionals, academics, and researchers the chance to work as instructors, researchers, or in a combination of teaching and research at a U.S. university. The duration of these fellowships is four to nine months.

The necessity for U.S. implementation, as well as the research's advantages and viability, must be shown by applicants in relation to India or the U.S. They will teach courses either alone or in teams, and they will contribute to the internationalisation of curricula. The project statement of applicants must describe the percentage of grant for each of the two activities—research and teaching—in order to strike a balance.

The chosen applicant will be associated with a single host university in the United States, and USIEF advises locating and liaising with possible host institutions. Add a secured invitation if you have one in the online application.

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 15 July 2024.
