PhD Opportunity in International Climate Governance
The Brussels School of Governance is seeking a talented PhD student to join its Centre for Environment, Economy, and Energy (3E Centre) as part of a multidisciplinary Horizon Europe project. The successful candidate will contribute to research on enhancing polycentric and international cooperation in climate governance, with a focus on the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research as part of the 3E Centre's team
- Prepare a PhD thesis based on project work, with potential for publication in academic journals
- Collaborate with a multicultural and multidisciplinary research team
Requirements:
- Master's degree or equivalent in political science, international relations, law, or a related field
- Proven research interest in international climate governance
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of other European languages considered an asset
- Familiarity with polycentric international climate governance a plus
