Fully Funded to Canada: Submit an application to the University of Guelph’s Arrell Graduate Scholarships

Beginning in the autumn of 2024, graduate students can apply for scholarships through the Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph.

The Institute is seeking young researchers who are not just extraordinarily gifted academics but also fervently dedicated to ensuring that future generations are nourished, that diets are equitable and rich in nutrients, and that agriculture is sustainable.

Selected candidates will lead multidisciplinary graduate student teams in addition to their graduate research, working with industry, government, and community partners as well as University of Guelph experts connected to the Arrell Food Institute to address global food challenges.

Program Benefits
The Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph provides master's and PhD students with a $50,000 CAD year, which enables them to work in the agri-food industry, engage with industry and non-academic partners, and hone their cooperation, communication, and project management skills. Scholars must maintain a high academic status in order to participate.
Eligibility Criteria
The University of Guelph requires applicants for scholarships to have the backing of a faculty advisor, begin a graduate programme after the application deadline, and have a minimum admissions average of A-. The objectives of the Arrell Food Institute must be met by research. In extreme cases, postponement might be conceivable. Scholarships are given out following a screening process that assesses applicant materials for outstanding academic achievement, the applicability of the research project, and commitment to public service.
