FULLY FUNDED TO COP31, TÜRKIYE: Apply for the ForumCiv young climate champion Programme 2026

ForumCiv is seeking to nominate a young Climate Champion to represent youth voices at COP31, scheduled to take place in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9 to 20 November 2026.

The opportunity is open to young people aged 18 to 30 who demonstrate strong leadership in climate justice, advocacy, and community engagement, with a clear understanding of how climate change disproportionately affects young people, women, and marginalized or vulnerable communities.

The selected participant should be someone actively involved in climate-related action, whether through campaigns, grassroots initiatives, policy engagement, or civil society work, and who is aligned with values of democracy, human rights, inclusion, gender equality, and environmental justice.

The ideal candidate is expected to have strong communication abilities, including the capacity to speak publicly, engage with media, contribute to side events, and use digital platforms to amplify climate justice narratives. They should be fluent in English and able to communicate complex climate issues in a way that is accessible to diverse audiences.

Applicants must be fully available for COP31, including travel days, and be willing to comply with all travel requirements such as passport validity, visa processes, accreditation, insurance, and health or security regulations. In addition, they should be ready to engage in structured pre-COP preparation activities as well as post-COP reflection, reporting, and knowledge-sharing sessions organized by ForumCiv and its partners.

Preference will be given to young people who are already engaged with ForumCiv programmes or similar climate networks, including those who can participate in or are connected to Africa Climate CSOs Pre-COP31 and Post-COP31 mobilisations.

Experience in youth organizing, community mobilisation, or environmental advocacy will be considered essential, particularly where the applicant has taken an active role in leading or contributing to meaningful climate action initiatives. The role ultimately seeks an individual who can carry lived community realities into global climate spaces while contributing to collective youth-led solutions before, during, and after COP31.
