FULLY FUNDED TO EDINBURG, SCOTLAND : Apply for the Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship 2026  

Applications are now open for the Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship 2026, an international leadership programme dedicated to strengthening women’s participation in peacebuilding and conflict transformation.

The Fellowship will take place from 20–25 July 2026 in Scotland and brings together women leaders from conflict-affected regions to exchange experiences, deepen knowledge, and build lasting global networks.

Programme Overview

The Fellowship is jointly delivered by Beyond Borders Scotland and the University of Edinburgh Law School, with financial support from the Scottish Government.

The programme is inspired by the principles of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, which highlights the essential role of women in peace negotiations, conflict prevention, humanitarian response, and post-conflict recovery.

The 2026 cohort will focus specifically on women’s meaningful participation in peacebuilding.

Fellowship Experience

Participants selected for the July cohort will engage in:

  • Interactive workshops on peacebuilding, mediation, and conflict analysis

  • Peer learning sessions among women leaders from diverse regions

  • Discussions on gender equality and the Women, Peace and Security agenda

  • Exploration of the climate–gender–conflict nexus

  • Arts and creative approaches to peacebuilding

  • Trauma-informed leadership and wellbeing practices

  • Cultural immersion experiences in Scotland

The Fellowship includes both pre- and post-programme online sessions, allowing continued collaboration beyond the residential experience.

Applications emphasizing authentic personal experiences and perspectives are strongly encouraged.
