FULLY FUNDED TO EGYPT: Apply for the Council of Europe Arab-European Youth Forum 2024 for young changemakers
Applications are now invited for the 8th Arab-European Youth Forum, a joint initiative by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Egypt and the Council of Europe. This forum aims to rejuvenate cooperation among young individuals and youth organizations affiliated with both entities. The event will provide a unique platform for dialogue and exchange, addressing pressing issues like conflict, human rights violations, climate change, environmental degradation, and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on youth.
Objectives:
- Foster dialogue and collaboration among young people and organizations from Arab and European countries
- Share perspectives on intercultural dialogue and cooperation
- Explore the effects of Artificial Intelligence on youth in the Arab and European contexts
Participants:
- 80 youth leaders, activists, and stakeholders involved in Euro-Arab cooperation will be selected
- Eligibility criteria:
- Reside in a Council of Europe member state or a state signatory to the European Cultural Convention
- Aged 18-30
- Proficient in English (Arabic language skills an asset)
- Active in a youth organization or project focused on Euro-Arab cooperation, intercultural dialogue, or Artificial Intelligence literacy
- Willing to share experiences and ideas, and actively contribute to the forum's success
Logistics:
- Working languages: English and Arabic, with simultaneous interpretation during plenary sessions
- Dates: October 14-19, 2024
- Accommodation and board: Provided and paid for by the League of Arab States and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Egypt at the Youth City in Luxor
- Travel costs and visa: Reimbursed by the Council of Europe upon presentation of required documents and invoices
