Fully Funded to Germany : Apply for the DAAD Hilde DominScholarship Program for Students at Risk

The Federal Foreign Office (AA)-funded German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Hilde Domin Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2024–2025 is now accepting applications.

The "Hilde Domin Programme" scholarship is provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to help students and doctorate candidates worldwide who may face discrimination in their home countries for not being able to receive an education or other rights. The programme offers financial support in the form of a fully financed scholarship to enrol in a Bachelor, Master's, or PhD programme at a German university of the winners' choosing.

Enabling grantees to make a significant contribution to the political, economic, and social development of their home countries is the ultimate objective. To further support the beneficiaries' social and personal growth, the programme also offers an interdisciplinary course. The scholarship has the name of Hilde Domin, a German writer and poet who lived more than 20 years in exile as a result of political upheavals in her home country. With the exception of students from Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, the United Kingdom, and EU/EEA/EFTA member states, the fellowship is available to all students and doctorate candidates worldwide.

Apply to the Hilde Domin Scholarship programme if you are a student or scholar who could be denied the opportunity to further your studies in your own country. The programme is open to Afghani women applicants who have been expressly refused an education.

Candidates for doctorates and successful students in the programme will be enrolled in the degree courses they want to take based on their qualifications. A scholarship will be awarded to them to help with living expenses while they are studying or conducting research in Germany.

The Winter semester 2025/26 intake has a nomination deadline of 15th September 2024 and an application period from 17th September to 16th October 2024.
