Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 One Young World Leading Scholarship Program, an initiative dedicated to recognizing and empowering exceptional young leaders from nations that are often underrepresented in global discussions and decision-making platforms. This scholarship seeks to amplify voices driving meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Leading Scholarship, applicants must be aged between 18 and 30 years old*. Candidates should demonstrate a proven dedication to fostering positive change, a strong capacity for leadership, and an ability to address significant local or global challenges through their work. Additionally, applicants must showcase a history of generating impactful and creative ideas to solve pressing issues.

*Although the program primarily targets individuals aged 18 to 30, applications from older candidates may be considered if they can provide evidence of significant personal impact and a strong commitment to engagement. However, those under 18 years old at the time of the Summit are not eligible.

Opportunities Provided by the Scholarship:

Participants in the Leading Scholarship Program will join a global network of over 18,700 collaborators from 196 countries, providing extensive opportunities for partnership and shared initiatives. Scholars will gain access to exclusive opportunities as Ambassadors, including participation in speaking engagements, regional networking events, and mentorship sessions. Moreover, scholars will have the unique honor of representing their nations during the Opening Ceremony, symbolized by waving their country’s flag. This program also increases visibility for participants’ initiatives, enabling their voices to reach global experts and influential leaders.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

The scholarship covers full delegate access to the One Young World Summit, which will take place in Munich, Germany. Recipients will be accommodated in a hotel from November 2 to 6, 2025, with all meals provided, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, travel expenses to and from Munich will be fully funded, provided that flights depart from and return to the same international airport.
