The Children and Youth Major Group (CYMG) to UNEP is accepting expressions of interest from youth interested in being nominated for fully-funded participation in the upcoming 12th Annual Meeting of the Subcommittee of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR).

This pivotal meeting serves as a key preparatory space ahead of UNEA-7, the world’s top environmental decision-making body, scheduled for December 2025.

Participants will engage in discussions around:

• The UNEA-7 preparatory agenda, including resolution drafting and logistics
• UNEP’s 2026–2029 Medium-Term Strategy and 2026–2027 work programme and budget
• Regional environmental forums' contributions to UNEP’s global strategy
• UNEP’s performance and financial outlook

This is a unique opportunity to help shape environmental governance at the global level and represent youth perspectives in strategic dialogues.
