The Children and Youth Major Group (CYMG) to UNEP is accepting expressions of interest from youth interested in being nominated for fully-funded participation in the upcoming 12th Annual Meeting of the Subcommittee of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR).
This pivotal meeting serves as a key preparatory space ahead of UNEA-7, the world’s top environmental decision-making body, scheduled for December 2025.
Participants will engage in discussions around:
- The UNEA-7 preparatory agenda, including resolution drafting and logistics
- UNEP’s 2026–2029 Medium-Term Strategy and 2026–2027 work programme and budget
- Regional environmental forums' contributions to UNEP’s global strategy
- UNEP’s performance and financial outlook
This is a unique opportunity to help shape environmental governance at the global level and represent youth perspectives in strategic dialogues.
Next Steps:
- Fill out the Expression of Interest form by the deadline.
- If selected, you’ll receive nomination confirmation and further instructions for official UN Indico registration.
- Unsuccessful applicants may still apply under the self-funded category starting 5 July 2025 or join some sessions virtually.
