The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) offers exceptional and driven students from Africa the unique opportunity to pursue a Master's degree at Wageningen University, a global leader in agricultural and environmental sciences.
This program not only provides an opportunity for personal academic growth but also contributes to capacity building in Africa, empowering the next generation of leaders in sustainable development and innovation.
Selection Process:
The selection process for the ASP is by invitation only, and the following steps outline the procedure:
- Step 1: Apply for an MSc programme before February 1, 2025.
- Step 2: If selected, you will be invited to participate in the further selection process (approximately 40 candidates will be invited by March 13, 2025).
- Step 3: Submit an assignment by March 25, 2025.
- Step 4: If shortlisted, you will be invited to online interviews held between April 22 - May 1, 2025.
- Step 5: The final results of the selection process will be communicated by May 8, 2025.
Timeline:
- Application Deadline for MSc Programme: 1 February 2025
- Selection Invitation: 13 March 2025
- Assignment Submission Deadline: 25 March 2025
- Online Interviews: 22 April - 1 May 2025
- Selection Results: 8 May 2025

Full Scholarship Coverage: Includes travel to and from The Netherlands, living allowance for the duration of the 24-month programme, full tuition fee coverage, and support for visa and health insurance costs.

To be eligible for the Africa Scholarship Programme, you must meet the following requirements:
African Citizen: You must be a citizen of an African country.
Master’s Programme Application: You must have applied for a Master’s programme at Wageningen University & Research before the application deadline (February 1, 2025).
Unconditional Admission: You must be unconditionally admitted to your chosen MSc programme.
Academic Excellence: You should have a First Class Honours degree (or equivalent) and a GPA of 80% or higher from your bachelor’s degree.
Preference for First-Time Master's Students: Preference will be given to students who have not yet obtained a master’s degree.
