FULLY FUNDED TO Pretoria, South Africa : Apply for the African Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Workshop
The Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria is hosting a two-day capacity-building workshop on Thursday, 17 and Friday, 18 October 2024, aimed at strengthening African civil society organizations' (CSOs) engagement with the African human rights system.
The workshop is designed for African CSOs that have had limited or no interaction with the three primary African human rights bodies: the African Commission on Human and People's Rights, the African Court on Human and People's Rights, and the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child.
The goal is to equip more African CSOs with a comprehensive understanding of the African Union's human rights framework. The training will cover key treaties and mechanisms within the African human rights system, along with the requirements for formal engagement.
The sessions will be led by experts and practitioners from academia, legal fields, civil society, and representatives from the relevant African human rights bodies.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 06-Sep-2024.
