FULLY FUNDED TO RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Apply for the Internet Governance Forum 2024 travel support
Applications are now invited for the 2024 Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Travel Support Program. In response to the United Nations Secretary-General's call for greater inclusivity at the IGF 2018, this initiative aims to amplify marginalized voices and foster a more diverse, multidisciplinary approach.
With the support of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a limited number of individuals from developing countries will be sponsored to attend the 19th annual IGF meeting in Riyadh from December 15-19, 2024.
To be eligible for this support, applicants must:
- Represent any stakeholder group
- Hail from a Least Developed Country, Landlocked Developing Country, Small Island Developing State, or Economy in Transition
- Be actively engaged in the IGF 2024 process (e.g., contributing to intersessional work, NRIs, or serving as session co-organizers, speakers, moderators, or rapporteurs)
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in internet governance-related activities
- Show a commitment to contributing to their community after participating in the IGF
- Receive a recommendation from a respected community member
