Fully Funded to Switzerland : Apply for the 2024 ETH4D Global Cooperation and Sustainable Development (GCSD) Scholarship

The 2024 ETH4D Global Cooperation and Sustainable Development (GCSD) Scholarship is now accepting applications.

Candidates from least-, lower-, and lower-middle-income countries can attend the MAS Global Cooperation and Sustainable Development at ETH Zurich with travel and lodging expenses covered by the ETH4D–GCSD Scholarship Programme.

Note: Candidates will only be considered for an ETH4D–GCSD Scholarship if admitted to the ETH MAS GCSD programme.
Since the two admission and selection processes run in parallel, the MAS GCSD programme office will share the admission letter confirming admission to the study programme directly with the ETH4D–GCSD Scholarship office.

Program Benefits

The ETH4D–GCSD Scholarship Programme pays for the subsequent costs:
— A round-trip economy ticket, up to 1,500 CHF1. Study course expenses 2. Living allowance for 10 months (September 2024 to February 2025 and November 2025 to February 2026): 2'200 CHF a month
— The Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) will provide a separate stipend to each participant in the MAS GCSD programme to cover living expenses for the length of the Junior Project Assignment (JPO) (March 2025–October 2018).
Programme Cost: 6,260 CHF (without the need for tuition)

Cash reimbursement is provided for airfare and visa costs after the selected student reaches Switzerland.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant needs to have a Master's degree from a university that has been finished and accepted.
TOEFL level C1 / TOEFL 95-120 is the minimal English proficiency required.
Candidates from all of the least-, lower-, and lower-middle-income nations listed on the external pageDAC-list of the OECDcall_made are eligible for the scholarship; students from upper-middle-income and high-income nations are ineligible.
The ETH MAS GCSD programme must approve candidates (interviews take place in May).

Application Procedure

There are two steps in the application process: the MAS GCSD programme and the ETH4D–GCSD Scholarship Programme. Only those who are accepted into the MAS GCSD programme will be eligible to apply for an ETH4D–GCSD Scholarship.
