Applications are now open for the 2025 TechWomen Emerging Leaders Program, dedicated to empowering women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East.

TechWomen aims to uplift, connect, and support the next wave of female leaders in STEM by providing the resources and opportunities they need to progress in their careers, fulfill their ambitions, and inspire women and young girls within their communities.

Through its mentorship and exchange initiatives, the program seeks to strengthen the participants’ professional expertise, foster mutual understanding among professional networks, and ignite an interest in STEM fields among girls by showcasing influential female role models.

To be eligible, applicants must have at least two years of full-time professional experience in STEM fields and hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent four-year university qualification. Fluency in both written and spoken English is required. Candidates should be citizens and permanent residents of specific countries in Africa, Central and South Asia, or the Middle East, and they must be able to obtain a U.S. J-1 exchange visitor visa.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the TechWomen Emerging Leaders Program, applicants must meet several requirements. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in a STEM field, demonstrating a commitment to advancing in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Additionally, applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent four-year university qualification. Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential, as the program is conducted in English. Eligible candidates must also be citizens and permanent residents of one of the program’s designated countries, including various nations in Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East. To participate, candidates should be able to obtain a U.S. J-1 exchange visitor visa and must not have applied for a U.S. immigrant visa, other than the Diversity Visa, within the past five years. Finally, applicants cannot be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, ensuring the program is open to international participants looking to broaden their skills and impact within their local and global STEM communities.
