FULLY FUNDED TO USA: Apply for this NED Reagan-Fascell Democracy fellows program 2025

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is now accepting applications for the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program, a prestigious international exchange initiative. This program honors NED's founding principles and offers a unique opportunity for global democracy leaders, journalists, and scholars to spend five months in residence at NED's International Forum for Democratic Studies in Washington, D.C.

Fellows will engage in independent research, reflection, and professional development, focusing on democratic development in their country or region. The program offers two tracks: one for practitioners to enhance their strategies and techniques for building democracy, and another for scholars to conduct original research for publication.

Eligible applicants must demonstrate English proficiency, propose a project related to democratic development, and be available to work in residence during the fellowship period. Practitioner track applicants should have substantial experience promoting democracy or human rights, while scholarly track applicants should hold a doctorate and have a proven publication record.

Fellows will receive a monthly stipend, basic health insurance, and roundtrip travel to and from Washington, D.C. They will also have access to a fully equipped office and a limited budget for professional travel and expenses.

Please note that former fellows are not eligible for repeat fellowships, and fellows are responsible for covering the costs of any accompanying family members.
