Applications are being accepted for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Programme for 2025 by U.S. Mission Uganda. Midway through their careers, outstanding professionals from developing nations come to the United States for a ten-month programme of non-degree education and related professional experiences through the Humphrey Programme.

The programme aims to promote mutual understanding and knowledge sharing between American residents and their Ugandan professional peers. The chosen candidates will be mid-career policy experts with a track record of leadership and a dedication to public service.

During ten months (August 2025–June 2026), fellows are housed in prestigious American colleges where they pursue self-designed curricula that include coursework, independent study, and an internship with a company in their area of specialisation.

The following fields are eligible for the scholarship programme: - Human and Institutional Capacity, which includes management, technological policy, public administration, finance and banking, economic development, and public policy analysis.
- Rights and Freedoms, which include human rights, journalism, communications, and the law.
- Sustainable Lands, which includes urban and regional planning, natural resources, agricultural and rural development, environmental policy, and climate change.
- Thriving Communities, which covers educational administration, planning, and policy; public health policy and management; and education, treatment, and prevention of substance misuse.

Applications must be completed and submitted online by May 30, 2024, at the latest.
