Fully Funded to Washington DC :Apply for the NOAA’s Young Changemakers Fellowship aimed at Empowering the Next Generation of Environmental Leaders
The next cohort of Young Changemakers is now accepting applications, and NOAA is thrilled to announce this!
For high school students who are passionate about having a good impact on the environment and the oceans in the United States, U.S. territories, and tribal nations, there is a transformative one-year programme called the NOAA Young Changemakers Fellowship (YCF). This fellowship, which is funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), allows students to plan and carry out action projects that address regional environmental or ocean-related problems while simultaneously giving NOAA insightful information on larger environmental issues.
The inaugural class of the eeBLUE Young Changemakers Fellowship gathered in Washington, D.C., for a kick-off conference in July 2023. Nineteen high school students and four adult mentors who are all committed to environmental advocacy came together for the occasion. Fellows got the chance to interact with government representatives and NOAA administrators, such as Dr. Rick Spinrad, during this summit. They also got to take part in interactive workshops and talks.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is June 10, 2024, at 11:59 pm Eastern time.
