FULLY FUNDED WITH STIPENDS: Apply for the McGill University’s McCall MacBain Scholarship 2026 for masters and professional undergraduate program

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 intake of the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University. These scholarships provide full funding for students enrolling in a master’s program or a second-entry professional undergraduate degree, while also participating in a comprehensive leadership development program that spans across disciplines.

To qualify for the 2026 selection, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria: be currently pursuing their first undergraduate degree and on track to graduate by August 2026; have completed their first undergraduate degree within the last five years (from January 2020 onward); or have earned their first degree over five years ago but were 30 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2025. In addition, candidates must satisfy the academic and language prerequisites for their chosen graduate program at McGill University.

Successful recipients of the McCall MacBain Scholarship receive financial support that covers full tuition and mandatory fees for the entire duration of their program. On top of that, a monthly living allowance of CAD $2,300 is provided during study terms. A relocation grant is available to help cover moving costs to Montréal, and McGill also offers French language courses at various levels to help students integrate. Those not enrolled in academic courses over the summer may apply for a grant of up to CAD $5,000 to support meaningful summer activities.

This scholarship is applicable for full-time graduate or second-entry undergraduate degrees beginning in the summer or fall of 2026 at McGill University’s downtown or Macdonald campuses. Eligible programs must comprise at least 45 credits. Some of the supported graduate degrees include, but are not limited to, programs in arts, architecture, education, business, law, music, engineering, science, public policy, and social work. However, PhD programs, part-time studies, executive-level programs, graduate certificates, and joint degrees are not covered under this scholarship. Students completing a qualifying year may still apply at the beginning of that year, provided it leads into an eligible McGill master’s program.

In total, 30 full McCall MacBain Scholarships will be awarded, alongside 100 additional merit-based awards given to those who stand out during the interview stage. For Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals with refugee status in Canada, 20 full scholarships will be granted. Additionally, 30 candidates will receive finalist awards worth CAD $10,000, and another 30 will be granted regional awards of CAD $5,000, which can be used at any public university in the country.

For applicants from outside Canada, 10 full scholarships will be awarded. Furthermore, 25 international applicants will receive finalist awards of CAD $20,000, while 15 others will receive regional awards of CAD $10,000, also applicable to any public university in Canada.
