By breaking down barriers that hinder equitable inclusion in news industry training and development, the Elevate Scholarship program aims to shatter the glass ceiling for professionals from under-represented groups. This approach not only benefits individual careers but also infuses the news media industry with the talent needed to navigate the complex challenges of today's business landscape.

The program recognizes that diversity encompasses various aspects, such as ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disabilities, access to higher education, and more. Past recipients of the Elevate Scholarship have come from diverse regions worldwide, emphasizing that diversity and inclusion are global concerns, each with its unique manifestations.

Eligibility Criteria for the Elevate Scholarship Program:

To be eligible for consideration for the Elevate Scholarship, you should:

- Belong to an under-represented and disadvantaged group within your country.
- Be actively engaged in or aspire to play a significant role in the business aspects of news media, including subscriptions, data, product development, advertising, and the overall business operations of newsrooms (as emphasized in INMA training).
- Be employed by a news media company.
- Hold a position below senior management within your organization.
- Have less than 15 years of experience in the news media industry.
- Be under the age of 45.
- Aspire to reach top managerial positions within a news media company.
