FUNDED: Apply for the Italy-IRENA Action for Climate Toolkit (I ACT) initiative and lead climate action projects in your country

Applications are open for young leaders eager to become advocates for climate action and renewable energy. The Italy-IRENA Action for Climate Toolkit (I ACT) initiative is seeking passionate individuals to join its network of peer educators, equipping them with the skills and resources to raise awareness about climate change and sustainable development in their communities.

This initiative is designed to empower young people by providing them with a structured toolkit that includes engaging presentation materials, facilitator guidelines, and interactive activities. Selected participants will undergo specialized training, preparing them to conduct workshops in schools, universities, and local organizations to inspire meaningful conversations and actions on environmental issues.

A training-of-trainers model will be used to equip the chosen peer educators with the necessary knowledge and techniques. The program will include a series of online training sessions scheduled for May, ensuring that participants are fully prepared to lead discussions and learning sessions on climate and renewable energy. Once trained, they will gain access to the complete toolkit, allowing them to conduct workshops independently. Additionally, where feasible, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with local partners, including Italian embassies, to facilitate in-person training sessions for youth in their regions.

This is a chance for young changemakers to contribute to the global climate movement, engage with like-minded individuals, and play a pivotal role in spreading awareness. Those interested in volunteering as peer educators should complete the application form before the deadline on March 21. The selection process will consider applicants’ responses along with efforts to maintain a diverse and regionally representative cohort.

Apply now to become part of a growing network of youth leaders dedicated to driving climate action in their communities.
