The Columbia Journalism School is delighted to introduce its Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program.The Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program starts with a two-week intensive session at Columbia Journalism School. Afterward, fellows go back to their organizations to apply their new knowledge, supported by weekly virtual cohort meetings and one-on-one coaching.

The program concludes with a final week-long intensive at Columbia, where fellows present their final projects.

How It Operates

Venture Design Boot Camp, Week 1

Program Benefits

The tuition for the full program is $20,000, which covers course training, daily breakfast and lunches, and a few group dinners during the residency weeks. All other costs, such as travel and accommodation, are the responsibility of the participants or their sponsoring organizations. Participants can benefit from discounted rates at local hotels through Columbia.

Eligibility Criteria

The program is intended for seasoned and aspiring newsroom and news business professionals.
The fellows are drawn from a broad range of domestic and foreign news organisations.
They advise companies who want to promote interdisciplinary cooperation to think about sending a team.
Nominations of up-and-coming leaders from under-represented groups in journalism are highly encouraged.
