Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be nationals of underrepresented Member States at UNESCO.
- Age limit: 32 years or younger.
- An advanced university degree in fields related to education, culture, science, social and human sciences, communication, or international organization management (as specified in the vacancy announcement).
- Proficiency in either English or French is required, with knowledge of both languages being an advantage. Proficiency in Spanish, Russian, Arabic, or Chinese is an additional asset.
- While initial professional experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
Application Process:
- Candidates should submit their applications to their National Commission or Permanent Delegation based on their citizenship.
- National Commissions and Permanent Delegations will review all applications and provide a list of candidates to UNESCO's Bureau of Human Resources Management.
- Direct applications to UNESCO are not accepted.
- A committee will evaluate applications based on academic qualifications, motivation/statement of interest, presentation of the application, language and writing skills, and the level of professional experience.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a video interview followed by a panel interview to assess their communication skills, teamwork, analytical abilities, initiative, creativity, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Tests may be administered to evaluate relevant competencies and proficiency in UNESCO's working languages (English and French).
